Swedish Massage
A gentle relaxing massage incorporating effleurage techniques (long, slow manipulations) to soothe the body and mind. This massage is designed to induce a sense of peace and relaxation, however, does increase blood flow to the body ridding the body of toxins and aiding the immune system. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program of stress management.
Deep Tissue Massage
A very stimulating massage which uses deep compression, friction and kneading to reduce tension, alleviate discomfort and relax cramped muscles. Trigger point therapy may be used to target areas of extreme stress to encourage muscle fatigue. Deep Tissue massage is perfect for those who suffer from headaches, lower back pain or stiff shoulders and neck.
Reflexology
An oriental based massage technique that incorporates reflex points which relate to various organs within the body. Promoting optimal organ function, reflexology stimulates the natural energy of the related organ. Crystalline like deposits and/or tenderness indicate a dysfunction of the organ related to nerve endings in the feet. Pressure is applied to clear congestion and restore normal function.
Hot Stone Therapy
This new method of massage is performed by placing heated stones over specific areas of the body. The warm stones are positioned on the back, head, and between the toes and fingers thus promoting a feeling of back to nature healing. The therapist then uses the stones to perform the massage for this remarkable treatment. A massage you must experience.
Trigger Point Therapy
This therapy is used to break cycles of spasm and pain by using concentrated pressure to painful irritated areas of the muscle called trigger points.
